ASHER ADAMS : Asher Adams occupies Salt Lake City's historic Union Pacific Depot, and the 24-hour fitness center keeps things simple — solid cardio and strength equipment, no pool or spa attached. Dining runs through Rouser, a charcoal-fired New American restaurant, and Counterpart, an in-house market for coffee and grab-and-go bites. Rooms come with a mini fridge and safe rather than a kitchenette.
City Creek Canyon, one of the most-loved close-in trails in the West, starts just behind the Utah Capitol — about a mile and a half from the hotel — with a paved road climbing gently into the canyon for running, cycling, and hiking. Note that access is currently limited through January 2027 due to water treatment plant construction, so it's worth checking current conditions before sending guests up. For gym access downtown, SLT is Salt Lake's only boutique high-end gym, about a mile east of the hotel.

SLT GYM: Salt Lake City's only boutique, high-end gym, with a limited membership base, cold plunge and sauna, outdoor turf area, and a meditation room. A quieter, more exclusive training environment than a typical downtown gym.

A car-free paved road climbing gently into the Wasatch foothills, starting just behind the Utah Capitol — one of the most beloved close-in trails in the West for running, cycling, and hiking, with the city skyline receding behind you within minutes. About 25 miles and a 25-30 minute drive from downtown, home to Alta and Snowbird. World-class granite rock climbing, alpine lake hikes like Cecret Lake and Red Pine Lake, and mountain biking via Snowbird's aerial tram in summer; legendary powder skiing in winter. The real payoff for guests with a full day to spend in the Wasatch.
